The village of Montpeyroux offers a slightly hilly landscape with distant views. Given the slope of the land and budgetary constraints, the house is set above ground. This economical project proposes a rational construction principle with a structure, walls, and floors in wood, and fully glazed facades. A thermal curtain can black out the facades and control temperature. Lined up with neighboring houses, the house has no vis-à-vis. Its elongated shape offers panoramic views of the distant hillsides. To fully inhabit the countryside, a garden complements the 4,000 m² (43,000 sq. ft) plot, with a field boasting some one hundred species of wildflowers.
