The house consisting of a 30 m-long (98 ft) metal structure is situated on a plot below the village of Cailhau that opens onto the landscape and the Pyrenees Mountain range to the southwest. It is placed on the highest point of the site, without modifying the aspect of the land. The aim is simple: to enjoy the wide horizon from every room. The project proposes a vast roof to protect the house from direct sunlight and natural transversal ventilation between the north and south facades to temper the interior climate in summer. Polycarbonate facades on the east and west facades provide protection from local winds. To the north, the facade is closed, except for a thin glazed strip at the top of the living area. The southern part is entirely glazed and opens onto a large semi-covered terrace.
