The Centre départemental d’élevage ovin (CDEO) is a genetic selection and technical support company for breeders in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department. It is leading a research and development project called Phénopasto, which aims to develop innovative techniques to adapt sheep breeding to the challenges of tomorrow: climate change and agroecological adaptation.
This project involves reorganizing and upgrading all of the CDEO’s buildings and equipment to increase productivity and secure insemination activities.
